No you may create an entire new one But just put some same things in it IMO like the clan logo (is that going to stay the new purple one?), and I can recommend meh as model for the cape as he did it very well last time

btw maybe make your signature a little smaller? it's really a big one with all 3 of them in it (you can use some spoilers to fill them in the sig but make it expandeable

Putting a smithing and mining cape side-by-side makes it seem like we value them equally. Which we dont. Smithing totally sucks. Also, when is the clan vex going to stop changing every few days and become one semi-related to MN?

I agree and disagree. IMO neither of the capes represent the clan at this point. Like 80% of the people that originally joined to mine with us left the clan or have quit the game. The other 20% pretty much moved on. Let's face the facts, we're not about mining anymore. I'll take it a step further, Mining is a dead skill for me.

We've been trying to recruit a new generation of people lately to shape our clan into a more community based clan with frequent events and conversation going on constantly. I personally like the current cape design a lot (it's not something I created/had influence on) and I would like to stick with it.

Agreed with joep, I was about to post about it that the mining and smith symbol will only scare away recruits but as non rank I wanted to wait till I saw joep and gangsta together online.

Just focus on the community part of the clan.

But I agree with one thing of used, the clan banner, it has changed a lot since I left. I rather see a new logo (maybe make a competition, thats a good reason to get ppl to a forum). Get a logo that will stand for a long time. Decide which aspect of the clan needs to be represented the most. My current banner looks nice but focuses a lot on citadel and that isnt a good representation of MN. I personally think that the greatest thing of mn is that it feels like a family, I might no longer be a ranked member of the clan but I still feel like you're all brothers and sisters or other family parts :p

while I dont really do it, everyone knows that dg is huge in MN.  should that be included in some part, or do we want to steer clear of skills in favor of the community things like you said? 
I would deffly vote for community focus rather than focus on a skill, but if a skill is the focus, dg?

I say no skill focus then. Remember the banner on the front page of old runescape (think it might be there in 07scape), where there are a bunch of people with different skills? I think something along those lines would be cool. It shows no skill preference and the idea of a community.

ok so one, I just threw in the skill capes to try something out, and to kinda see what it would be like if the banner showed a little of the history, but that I can change easily. The only problem I have is, I need something to go on the sides that wont disrupt the whole flow of the banner, which is rough, because I dont know what to use, so ideas for that would help. Two, I threw in the clan cape and vex to see if I could do it to be honest, I dont have a lot of experience with rendering at all. I agree that we need something concrete for the cape and vex, and soon so I can do finish the banner. So Joep or whoever takes care of that, can we get on that asap please? Any more ideas or criticism is much appreciated, this is after all, our banner.

Any feedback on likes and gripes of all designs shown would be helpful. As gang said, everyone's input can help make the banner more personal and relevant to us.

Notes: The image above is very rough, one of many things I want to say is that it looks a lot bluer than it would in the end. The image above captures most of my concept, but the polarized-style images would actually features pictures from events we have, so when we have events soon, pictures could be taken for use in the banner.

Love the font and the overall theme, but any way if the pics could be diversified?

Nothing against all entries so far but I still prefer the current one above the rest

Let's get 10 people together and divy up a letter from "Mine Nation" to each of them and have them all public chat them at the same time, while performing 99 cape emotes in a line. Ok maybe this wouldn't look good on the banner but it would still be a pretty stellar pic.

Edit: If we could get even more people involved we could even spell out a sentence.

@vish, he did say that the pictures would be different events that the clan does.  

I like the idea of event images Incorporated and update periodically, but i'm not so sure about that photo collage format (not that I have a better idea mind you. critique is always easy when you don't have to provide a solution =s)

Went with a generic , because was confused as to what was the theme.
and i dont know the dimensions, i made it way to big.
