Mine Nation and the Jagex Clan Cup Empty
PostSubject: Mine Nation and the Jagex Clan Cup   Mine Nation and the Jagex Clan Cup EmptySat Jun 16, 2012 1:14 am

Hi Guys,
Today I signed us up for the Jagex clan cup, in the skilling cup.

What is the Skilling Cup?

The Skilling Cup is a tournament where the best skilling XP/hour will be tested from each of the clans over three different skills!

One skill is drawn and then you must put forward your best ten skillers for that skill for they will be battling it out the week after to try and get the best three hours of skilling in that skill. We then take the results, do our mathematics wizardry and give you the results!

The full details on how the scores are calculated with be posted at a later date.

Skilling Cup

The Skilling Cup is a different kettle of monkfish from the typical XP races and gain competitions; it tests the very best methods of skilling rather than a player's endurance. This competition doesn't run in the same manner as the Combat and Combined Cups as a single elimination doesn't seem to make any sense, instead it runs like a ranking system.

First of all, a 'non-buyable' skill is picked at random from a selection of skills (both members and free-to-play) and then announced to all of the clans taking part. Each clan then has a week to put forward their 10 participants for the skill. Make sure to put out 10 active and ready to compete hard players! Once the skill is announced, the participants are put forward and the week has passed - it's time to skill!

Each player will be scored an 'Average XP/hour' score based on the best three full hours of skilling in that skill a week. For example, the skill is Fishing and Mod Timbo goes ahead and does five hours - the best three hours will be averaged out to give him an 'Average XP/hour'. This will then be averaged out amongst the whole clan to give the whole clan a score however if someone doesn't do their entry then your clan's score will be low.

There is also a combat cup and a combined cup, but I didn't sign us up for those, if we want we can still sign up for those
