| Incase you haven't seen the Runescape front page, Jagex is reintroducing an August 2007 version of Runescape. You can read about all the fine details here, but that's not what the thread is about. I am probably one of the most excited people for this. I will definately start playing Runescape anew when it gets introduced (if it doesn't cost more than membership alone). That entails 500k votes, and I don't think that will happen. However we can dream =) Both versions of the games have their ups and downs, but I think everyone should vote for this, no matter what version you side with. The new servers will just create a new place for all the people unsatisfied with the current version of the game. What reasons are there to vote against it? It's a win-win! So, all in all, I hope you all do what you can for 500k votes. (750k would be incredible, but unlikely). Additionally, with the start of a "new" game, comes the start of a new economy. With close to no GP game-wide (and no GE), I think money-making for the first few months will be really different. Coins are only introduced through stores, monsters and high alch. I plan on mining, and giving all my ore to my friend (the smither). This should be decent, considering weapons and armour will probably be in demand. Also, if I'm a member, I am going to do treasure trails like crazy. Any other ideas? Is anyone going to give the old school Runescape a shot? I know nobody is going to abandon normal Runescape for this, but it would be cool to see you guys in-game at least some time, and work together in a chaotic (and lack-of-chaotics), weird-ass, new game. I can't wait for this update, so I can come back to Runescape and actually have fun with it.

| Can't wait. I'm thinking of doing all quests without the use of GE. |

| I have deffly thought about whether I would love to go back, or would hate it. Still not sure. I will almost certainly buy membership for at least a month (even at 15$) just to nostaligize for a bit, even if i don't stick w/ it. |

| it's going to be really bad if it doesn't reach the max votes. Wouldn't be worth it. |

| Heres how shit will go down, thank me later.
2007 servers reintroduced with approx 330k votes.
First few months people dont expect much, numbers of actual playing accounts significantly less than votes, due to people paying for multiple accounts just to vote. Sleightly offset by people who didnt vote but want to check it out.
Bots reign supreme and hoard all resource locations and monster areas. Problem hidden by not having a GE. Bots take over, strangle and destroy the want for 2007 servers.
Jagex will not put anti botting technology on those servers. Theres simply not enough in it for them to do so.

| what about after that?
goldfarming or personal account botting?
goldfarming would die out without legit players, and I think if you break rules and get caught in classicscape, you get punishment on both games |

| The one difference between this oldschool server and runescape back in 07 is the competitiveness and mindset. I think people in 07scape will definately buy gold. So there will be plenty of farmers. WHY CANT PEOPLE JUST BE GOOD PEOPLE > |

Jagex closes the servers due to lack of intrest from playerbase. Remember there will be little to no extra players if they have an extra fee. |
