| We need to recruit more members.
Many of the regular members are growing up and having to deal with life. |

| I have started to login on occasion again as school bids me to read laborious 1000 page books about the philosophy of arguing philosophy from a religious stand point, and have noticed a very low number of folks in the chat. I feel as if I am one of the typical problems of the clan at the moment. I have retained my rank and sometimes ill play an hour all week long (i know there is more to rank than how much one plays, but it certainly plays a part in being an active member of the community) That in itself sparks an idea, what made (makes) mine nation so great a place to be, is the community. I think the community aspect is something that has not been kept up well *points finger at self* I would have to say that deb's comment about rs slowly dying combined w/ the truth that growing up and business happens (whatthecrapit'smylastsemesterofcollegealready?!?). I have been busy w/ school, interviewing for post college jobs and now planning for post college stuff (finding an apartment, buying a car, guess i should get medical insurance at the very least, etc) Im not a fan of eoc in that i can't afk like i use to, and fishing is my only affordable afk skill left (and i'm not a fishing fan >_<) tl;dr I feel like i exemplify the problem and have no good idea how to fix it =/ All in all, I still <3 MN - Spoiler:
15 mins after posting this, there is a 'giant' mn reunion and it feels like 2010 again. lol

| As of lately I'm only really training dung so that would be the main reason for me not contributing to conversations. |

| I definitely feel taht the cc is dying, the only reason im pretending to not care is because this week and the next 2 weeks im playing at a minimal level to keep up my college work.
To also fill in about the cc dying, i support hobo in trying to actualy recruite more members, some of the newer people like Missy Claire for example left saying that the cc got boring and should it get active again, i'll come back.
Recruit randomers even, assuming that some leave and some stay and some will get kicked for being idiots.

| In regards to recruiting, I would be hesitant to support the idea of 'invite em all' mentality; at least not with the current state of affairs. We would deffly need to set moderating parameters for booting and such. There is a difference between a large family and just a mob. I would error on the side of a family than a mob, but that is just my thoughts and i'm more than open to other ideas. |

| I realize that but the last time we set these standards only 1 or 2 people actually stayed in cc, and those people dont' even log anymore.
i dont mean to stand in ge and randomly invite all, but more so if you're skilling, and you see some people, see if they're interested in a community cc. |

| Perhaps I was unclear. I would agree with a more vigorous recruiting endeavor, as long as we have ranked in the cc who know the influx is (hopefully) coming and able to weed as necessary. Do you feel we currently have enough active appropriately ranked folk to pull this off without causing the mob to happen? |

| ^ That's what I was thinking too
I think we do have enough ranks on at most times, anyways, I don't think there could be too much chaos while ranks are away so let's just get more people and more conversations going on in the cc |

| I haven't played since.....Mid-november? I did log in twice to see what was up. I am really committing to not playing this game (I forced myself to miss my first holiday item since '06). Thats about the end of it. I love the cc and all, but the game has changed too much and I have other priorities, like passing my college classes.
I haven't been around recently to see the condition of the cc, but I know why it is "dying", if that is the case (doesnt seem like the right word). It seems like the updates in the past 2ish years have changed the way the game is meant to be played (MAXOUTMAXOUTMAXOUT). And that style of game play doesn't help the rs community at all. I'm not blaming anyone in specific, but a lot of us have been guilty of being so busy with grinding out skills that there isn't much interaction with the clan. I can't really change how you guys play the game, but that's not my style.
Sorry if it seems like I'm blaming you guys, because I'm not. I'm blaming the design of the game. And the point that "the game is dying slowly" definately has a lot to do with the state of the clan. |
